Child Dental Benefit Scheme
Here at Newstead Smiles, we bulk bill dental treatment for patients who are eligible for the child Dental benefit through Medicare. No out-of-pocket costs for claimable treatment.
The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a scheme run by Medicare that provides each eligible child up to $1,013 over 2 calendar years to pay for a range of dental services. It is for families who are already receiving other benefits, such as Family Tax Benefit A payments.
All you need to do is provide your Medicare card details when you book your appointment with us. We can check eligibility for you, or you can contact Medicare for more information. Alternatively, you can check online by logging in to your MyGov account, you can check the balance if your Medicare is linked.
It is very simple to claim dental treatment through the Child Dental Benefit Scheme, all you need to do is provide your child’s Medicare card details and we can Bulk bill dental treatment at the end of your child’s appointment. We also check your child’s balance before each appointment and advise you if you a going to reach your limit.
